Privacy Policy
This policy covers the personal Apple Calendar and School Notes Sync utility described on the app information page. The utility runs locally on its user's Mac and has no server operated by the site owner.
Google data accessed
With the user's permission, the utility reads the names and basic details of calendars in the selected Google account so it can avoid duplicating calendars already connected directly to Apple Calendar. It creates secondary Google calendars for Apple calendar mirrors and reads or updates event details only in those utility-created calendars. Event details include titles, descriptions, dates, locations, recurrence, and other fields needed for synchronization. The utility uses Google Drive file access to create, update, and remove the school export files it manages. Access is limited to the Google account the user selects during authorization.
How the data is used
Calendar data is used only to mirror events between Apple Calendar and Google Calendar. Notes in selected school folders are exported locally and uploaded to a dedicated Google Drive folder so that the Drive copy reflects those Notes. The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, share it with other people, or use it to train machine-learning models.
Processing and storage
Sync comparisons and Notes exports are performed on the user's Mac. OAuth credentials, sync status, and temporary or current Notes exports are stored in private local files under that Mac user account. Calendar copies are stored in the selected Google Calendar account. Notes exports are stored in the selected Google Drive account; replaced or removed Drive files may be kept in a dated archive for recovery. The site owner does not receive or retain a copy on a remote server.
Sharing and service providers
Calendar and Notes content is sent to the user's own Google account to provide the requested sync. Apple and Google may process data under their respective service terms and privacy policies. The utility does not send this content to a separate analytics, hosting, advertising, or AI service.
Retention and deletion
Current calendar copies remain in Google Calendar while their source events exist. When a supported event is deleted on either side, the sync removes its active copy on the other side. Notes exports that are replaced or removed may remain in the Drive archive. The user can remove archived exports and local sync files directly, and can stop future syncs by disabling the local sync tasks.
User choices
The user can revoke Google access from their Google Account security settings. Revoking access stops future Google syncs; existing copies remain in Google Calendar or Drive until the user removes them. Disabling the local sync tasks stops scheduled processing on the Mac.
This policy describes the current personal sync setup and will be updated if its data practices change.
